Why did you chose the elephant?

What do Elephants Represent?

I have always loved animals and nature, and wildlife conservation efforts are important to me.

I purposefully chose the elephant to represent my brand because of their distinctive personalities, their emotional intelligence, strong social group bonds, and emotional depth. Although revered and honored throughout many cultures, elephants and their habitats are at high risk of extinction and are endangered.

Elephants are intelligent animals with remarkable cognitive abilities. They have been observed displaying a range of behaviors that indicate problem-solving, memory recall, and even self-awareness. These cognitive abilities likely contribute to the development of their personalities, as they are able to adapt to their surroundings, form lasting memories, and make decisions based on past experiences.

These factors all contribute to making elephants one of the most fascinating and beloved animals in the world and one of my favorite animals. Here I will share some of my favorite elephant videos with you, and I'm happy to hear from you, share your favorite with me at the link below.

Suda, the elephant with a talent for painting

Elephants are known for their emotional depth and capacity for empathy, which also likely plays a role in shaping their personalities. They have been observed displaying a range of emotions, from joy and playfulness to grief and mourning. This emotional depth may contribute to their ability to form strong social bonds and to adapt to changing situations, as they are able to perceive and respond to the emotions of others.

Elephants are resilient, Baby Elephant faces phobia

Moyo, the rescued baby elephant, was just a few days old when he nearly drowned. Although he was so young at the time, elephants have a phenomenal memory. Young Moyo could never forget his traumatic experience in the water. For Moyo, with hard work, social support, and a willingness to try, this young elephant faced his fear head on and now loves the water. Face your fears, confront your skeletons, stop avoiding the worst. OCD and Phobias are not uncommon, and yet very treatable with cognitive-behavioral therapies. Face your fears!

Honoring the African Elephant

In the Ghana region of Africa, the Asante people revere the elephant, as they view them as their reincarnated leaders. In western Africa in Benin, the Kingdom of Dahomey associates the elephant with Guezo and his son Glele, who were rulers in the 19th century. A proverb that is popular with local people expresses their reverence for elephants:

“The animal steps on the ground, but the elephant steps down with strength.”

When you're assertive, nothing can stop you. No one can slow you down, or keep you from your goal. And some times we may find ourselves with no motivation, no drive, no sense of purpose. I can help you work on your self-confidence and assertive communication skills.

“The first step to getting what you want is to have the courage to get rid of what you don’t.”

Elephants have a unique Social-Emotional Intelligence, this Elephant has a pet

Elephants are highly social animals that form deep bonds with their family members and other elephants in their social groups. Elephants have been seen mourning as a herd when a group member perishes. These social bonds are thought to play a significant role in shaping their personalities, as they are able to learn from and be influenced by their peers. For example, studies have shown that elephants can learn from each other's behaviors and even mimic them, suggesting that they are able to observe and adapt to the personalities of other elephants in their group. This elephant handled grief and seemed to express it in a deep and caring manner. Handling grief in our own life can be difficult, yet it is a common topic that we must all face. Processing your grief in a healthy way, helps you honor the memory and maintain a healthy emotional wellbeing.

“Heartbreak is life educating us.”

– George Bernard Shaw

Elephants Represent Strong Family Values, Elephants show intense loyalty to their pack

Elephants are known to comfort other elephants in distress and stand beside them touching with trunks and making soft sounds.   In Kerala, India, a baby elephant falls into a ditch (or an abandoned well) and gets trapped there. As the family of wild elephants watches and waits on the other side of the river, local people and forest officials use an earthmover to help the baby get out. Watch when they come running and welcoming the baby, checking whether it is fine and the incredible moment when the matriarch turns and salutes the humans, thanking them for saving their little one. Elephants are known to comfort other elephants in distress and stand beside them touching with trunks and making soft sounds.  What are some of your personal coping skills? Do you prefer soothing, grounding, expressive, or meditative coping strategies? Let's discuss this further in therapy.

A few of my favorite elephant videos

We must not be generation that lets elephants disappear. If you are interested in assisting a charity, consider finding more information on elephant conservation, or perhaps volunteering to an organization supporting their wildlife habitat and environmental protection.

By poor climate practices and urban expansion, we are destroying elephants natural habitats and survival efforts.

In this video, commuters must pay the toll with sugar cane, that elephant blocks the road until he can grab some sugar canes.

"Eat an Elephant One Bite at a Time"

To “eat an elephant one bite at a time” means to tackle a huge job by breaking it down into small, manageable tasks. For example:

'Susan was daunted by the wedding planning, but she decided to eat the elephant one bite at a time and sat down to create a schedule.'

Sometimes life feels so overwhelming, when in reality the best action to reducing your stress is to stop planning and take action. I encourage you to take a step forward into your self-improvement, and have fun while doing so! Adding rewards to your accomplishments helps you have positive reinforcement, more likely to keep you doing those good behaviors leading to long term habits.

"An Elephant Never Forgets"

This video show the bond between Darrick and elephant Kham Lha at Elephant Nature Park when she think Darrick in trouble, so she rushed to the river and try to save him. This is can show us that, when we treat animal with love, they always paid love back to us.  In the wild, elephants spend their days foraging, playing, swimming, exploring, and communicating with other elephants in their herd. I often will ask you about your social support network, and we may set a goal to increase social support, in other words - Who has your back when the going gets tough?
